A dependant visa is permission to enter the UK as a dependant relative of a person present and settled in the UK. What is accepted by the term dependant vary and we may be able to include relatives who are fully dependant on you who do not normally qualify.
It is difficult for families to be separated for any period of time if you have been refused a dependant visa. Previous family immigration history and your sponsor’s ability to support you will form an important part of the appeal. If you instruct us to represent you, we will look at all the facts surrounding your case, making sure that all related evidence is provided. We will use all relevant case law to help your circumstances in the appeal including Human Rights.
If you have family members [other than a spouse or child under the age of 18] that you wish to accompany you in the UK, it may be possible to include them as a dependant relative. You should always seek professional advice first to make sure that you qualify for this category before making an application to avoid problems. Any refusal will go against you in the future if the reasons for refusal are not addressed.
