AIT Hearings

An AIT Hearing is our opportunity to argue why your appeal should be overturned. It allows an Immigration Judge or panel to independently decide your case based on the strength of the facts and legal arguments used.

If you have instructed us to represent you on your appeal, we will make sure that the case is fully prepared with the information that we have. Our experience of managing this process successfully will allow us to guide you through what to expect on the day.

Most clients choose to attend the hearing with our barrister. This will give you the opportunity to speak to the Immigration Judge if requested. It will also add credibility to your case if you are able to attend the hearing itself, to give oral evidence on the day.

The Immigration Judge will make a decision based on the evidence that has been provided by you and the legal representation that has been provided by our legal team, together with the oral evidence presented by the barrister. You may be asked to speak if you are in the UK and attending the hearing.

Our role at the hearing is to present the facts of the appeal with original evidence, using relevant case law that applies to your case.

The Home Office will also be present at the hearing, to provide evidence why they believe the original refusal should be maintained.

Our legal team will make sure that your case is fully prepared so that you are confident that you have the best chance for success. Our barristers are fully versed in the latest UK immigration case law and how it can be used to make the best of your circumstances.
